Elliot Lake ATV Hunting Journey

Elliot Lake ATV Hunting Journey - Northern Ontario Hunting

Are you the type of person that loves to hunt and ride ATVs? Well we have the perfect adventure for you. There are ample hunting opportunities in the northern paradise of Elliot Lake. Riding the trails is an outstanding way to sample them.

Elliot Lake was a mining town until the late 1980s. Now the area has over 200 kilometers of insured, marked ATV trails and over 2000 lakes. The crisp September mornings are a perfect time for a comfortable ride along the abandoned mining roads and forest trails, searching for likely locations where grouse may be feeding. Located just up highway 108 from highway 17, Elliot Lake is a great way to spend your weekend hunting in Northern Ontario.

Be sure to visit the Elliot Lake Welcome Center and pick up an ATV trail guide. The guide lists roughly 20 waypoints that can be plugged into your GPS unit to make riding the trails that much easier.

Though Elliot Lake is a full-service community with a wide variety of accommodations, staying at the Fireside Inn is always a great choice. For a list of hotels, lodges, resorts, campgrounds, and remote outpost camps in the area you can visit the Elliot Lake's official website.

This is just one of the many ways you can have a great time hunting in Northern Ontario. See more great vacation ideas or get more information about hunting in Ontario.
